Why own a car when hiring one could be cheaper?

Increasingly popular, personal contract hire (PCH) is simply an agreement to hire a car for a given period - normally three years, although alternative periods are available.

Deposit payments are usually equivalent to just three monthly rentals, followed by fixed monthly rentals thereafter. The leasing company retains ownership and at the end of the contract simply takes the car away.

PCH rentals are usually lower than for an equivalent personal contract purchase type agreement; however, customers should bear in mind that they will not normally have the opportunity to keep the car at the end of the agreement.
